König Holz und Harz high-quality friction polish made from linseed oil, shellac from the food industry, high-purity alcohol and natural resins to produce a high-gloss surface, even on large or structured objects.
This particularly high-quality polish also enables the production of a high-gloss surface on workpieces with a diameter of more than 10 cm.
The most important properties:
- Shellac from the food industry, this is also used as a coating for apples or sweets
- High purity alcohol >= 99 %
- Pure, filtered, healthy linseed oil from the first pressing
- No drying agents or other additives
Directions:
After using our König Holz&Harz grinding paste "coarse wood" or "fine wood", apply a little friction polish to a soft, quick-tearing and lint-free cloth (kitchen towel).
Danger:
For safety reasons, we recommend a quick-tear paper towel. However, it is easier to polish with a cotton cloth. However, make sure that youNEVERwrap the cloth around your finger(s).
Always keep the cotton clothBETWEENthumb and fingers.
If the cloth then gets caught, it will be ripped out of your hand and your fingers remain free.
Apply the friction polish with a cloth with the lathe stationary or rotating slowly, approximately 500 rpm.
Then the turning speed can be increased from approx. 500 – 1500 rpm, depending on the diameter of the workpiece.
In order to achieve a high gloss, the polish must be heated by friction.
This is done by slowly increasing the pressure of the cloth on the surface.
Too little pressure does not achieve a gloss, too much pressure reduces the gloss again. The right pressure is learned quickly.
As soon as the surface is dry, the process can be repeated after 1-2 minutes, even several times.
This results in a resistant surface with even more shine and depth.
