General
Epoxy resin is sanded step by step, from a coarser to an increasingly finer grit . It is important to work each grit evenly and only move on to the next one once the sanding marks from the previous stage have been removed. Wet sanding is particularly suitable for the final sanding, as it ensures a uniform finish and reduces sanding dust.
The appropriate grit depends on the condition of the surface. For more pronounced imperfections, start with a coarser grit and then work your way step by step to very fine grits for the final polish . The finer the surface is sanded before polishing, the easier it is to achieve a clear, high-gloss finish.
