With a larger quantity, the processing time and the curing time are shorter!

If you have little experience, we recommend not processing the maximum amount at once.

If you still want to do this, work at 18°C with a large diameter mixing bucket and take into account a very short processing time!

Important: The higher the room temperature (>21 °C) and the larger the amount of casting, the lower the casting height should be. Epoxy resin reacts faster, especially in summer, which can lead to undesirable results.

With large quantities, such as 30 kg, overreactions can occur despite a reduced layer height. We therefore recommend pouring in two layers or using a resin system for larger layer thicknesses.
Note: Temperature, pouring volume and layer height are crucial for best results.
Make sure the surface is dense and non-porous. This can cause air bubbles in the epoxy. To do this, use a thin coat of epoxy or primer.
Always use protective gloves and goggles when handling this material. Process the resin at room temperature (18-25 ° C) and humidity less than 70%. To avoid deformation of the surface, the temperature must remain constant throughout the curing process. Also avoid direct sunlight through a window and avoid drafts.
Mix the A and B component in the correct proportion (A:B = 100:100 by weight) and mix well. Allow enough time to mix (2-3 minutes) and make sure to include the corners and bottom of the mixing bowl. Optionally, pour the whole thing into a second bowl and mix again. Now add all the color effects and stir again. Allow air bubbles to escape for a minute. If necessary, help by vibrating/rattling the beaker. Make sure the product does not get too hot!
The epoxy resin is now ready to use. Pour the mixture in a thin stream into your mold or prepared model.
Please note that for larger quantities you should use a mixing bowl with a large base. Avoid a thick layer in the mixing bowl as it will heat up very quickly!
Removing air bubbles is best done with an epoxy deaerator or with a flame. Please do not use flames if you have diluted the epoxy with alcohol or other flammable products.

If you want to apply the resin in several layers (multi-layer work):
Wet on wet:
When pouring a second layer of liquid into a first layer of epoxy liquid, you need to make sure the exothermic reaction has completely worn off. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases energy. In this case, heat. If you want to be sure of this, wait until the second layer is no longer sticky, but you still see a fingerprint in the epoxy.
Wet on dry:
The previous layer must be sanded and made free of dust and grease.
Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and face protection. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Avoid release to the environment. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Wash skin thoroughly after handling.

If you notice that the resin component is white and flaky, it is crystallized resin.

Epoxy resin crystallization is a physical process caused by external factors such as cold or temperature fluctuations. It is completely reversible and similar to the freezing of water. The main causes are:

1. Temperatures too low : During storage or transport, crystals may form at temperatures below 15 °C.

2. Temperature fluctuations : The formation of crystals is promoted by regular changes between warm and cold.
High resin purity: Epoxy resin with high purity is more prone to crystallization.
3. Low viscosity : Resins with a low viscosity tend to form crystals.

This reaction occurs at extremely low temperatures and can be reversed by a water bath (about 60 minutes/50 °C).
Simply place the sealed resin container in the water bath. Then let the resin cool back to normal room temperature.

Super Zellenbildung
Bereits bei niedrigen Temperaturen entstehen sehr schöne Zellen. Die Besrbeitungszeit von 40min. ist zwar eher sportlich.
Kann das Harz sehr empfehlen.

Wenn du ein Resin brauchst, dass dir nicht gleich davonläuft aber dennoch kurze Trocknungszeit hat ist dieses das Richtige dafür. Es ist mittelmässig zähflüssig, genau das was ich brauchte.
