Glass beads for epoxy resin flooring – anti-slip additive 0.2–0.3 mm
Glass beads for epoxy resin flooring – anti-slip additive 0.2–0.3 mm
Our glass beads for epoxy resin floors are the ideal solution if you want to make your floor coating more slip-resistant, safer and yet easy to clean.
The transparent, rounded anti-slip glass beads are sprinkled into the fresh sealant or mixed directly into the final coating layer.
This creates a grippier surface which, depending on consumption and coating system, can support slip resistance in the range of R9 to R10 .
The fine grain size of 0.2–0.3 mm is particularly suitable for 2K epoxy resin floor coatings , transparent sealants, colored epoxy floors, garage floors, workshop floors, basement floors, bathrooms, industrial areas and many other coating systems.
Why glass beads instead of quartz sand?
Compared to quartz sand , glass beads are transparent, round and visually more subtle .
As a result, they hardly change the color of your coating and remain almost invisible if evenly distributed.
Their rounded shape creates a more pleasant, wipeable surface than sharp-edged materials. Comparable suppliers also describe glass beads as transparent, rounded, and wipeable.
This makes them particularly interesting for areas that need to be cleaned regularly, for example garages, workshops, basements, bathrooms, hobby rooms or commercial spaces .

Glass beads for epoxy resin flooring can be processed in two ways:
1. Sprinkle into the fresh coating
The glass beads are evenly sprinkled into the still-wet final layer. This creates good slip resistance on the surface. This method is particularly suitable when a stronger anti-slip effect is desired.
2. Interfering in the last layer
Alternatively, the glass beads can be stirred directly into the final sealant or coating. This method creates a uniform, subtle texture and is particularly suitable for private surfaces that need to remain easy to wipe clean.
For a clean finish, the glass beads should be evenly distributed. Uneven application can result in a patchy surface or varying levels of grip.
