Application:

Wire selection: Choose a suitable metal wire that is flexible enough to be moulded but strong enough to retain its shape.
Cleaning: Remove grease or dirt from the wire to improve the adhesion of the resin.
Shaping: Use pliers to bend the wire into the desired shape, e.g. petals or other artistic figures. Make sure the wire ends are well secured.
Assembly: If the design contains several parts, join them together before dipping into the resin. Use extra wire or solder the parts for a stable structure.
Immersion: Carefully dip the moulded wire structure into the UV DIP resin until it is completely covered.
Curing: Cure the dipped mould under a UV lamp for 1-2 minutes.

1. Prepare your workspace

Work in a well-ventilated area on a clean, protected work surface. Wear suitable protective gloves and safety glasses.

2. Bend the wire into shape

Use suitable metal wire and form closed loops with small pliers, for example in the shape of petals, leaves or butterfly wings.

3. Prepare the wire shape

Ensure the wire form is clean, dry, and free of grease. The wire loop should be completely closed.

4. Dip in UV dip resin

Carefully dip the shaped wire loop into the UV resin and slowly pull it out. If the loop is of a suitable shape, a transparent resin film may form.

5. Cure under UV/LED light

Cure the resin layer completely with a suitable UV/LED lamp. As a guideline, approximately 1–2 minutes is currently given. The actual time depends, among other things, on the lamp and the layer thickness.

6. Assemble flowers and artworks

Combine the hardened petals to create flowers, butterflies, or other decorative elements. If needed, additional thin layers of resin can be applied and hardened again.

Tip: Start with small wire loops. With large openings, the liquid resin film tears more easily before it can harden.
What is UV dip resin?

UV-Dip Resin is a UV-curing resin that is particularly suitable for the dipping technique. In this technique, suitable wire forms are dipped into the resin to create transparent resin films for 3D flowers and delicate artworks.

How do you create 3D flowers with UV resin?

First, wire loops are bent into the shape of individual petals. Then they are dipped in UV-dip resin, the resulting resin film is hardened under UV light, and the petals are assembled into a flower.

What do I need to make 3D flowers?

Besides UV dip resin, you will need suitable metal wire, small pliers, and a suitable UV/LED lamp. Optionally, you can use suitable color pigments and decorative effects.

Why does a resin film sometimes fail to form?

Possible causes include wire openings that are too large, an unsuitable loop shape, or uneven wetting. Smaller, completely closed wire loops make entry easier.

Can I color UV dip resin?

Suitable UV-resin compatible dyes can be used. However, strong pigmentation or opaque colors can impair UV light penetration and complete curing.

How long does UV dip resin need to cure?

The required time depends on the UV/LED lamp, its wavelength, the layer thickness, and any dyes used. Complete curing is crucial.
