Application of Eternal Seal to wood
1. Preparation
Ensure the wood surface is completely clean, dry, and dust-free. Remove all residue, dirt particles, or sanding dust before application.
2. Combination with Vinnie's UPO optional
If Eternal Seal is to be used as a 2K system, first apply Vinnie's UPO. Allow this layer to fully cure for at least 2 to 3 days before applying Eternal Seal.
3. Apply
Apply Eternal Seal to the wood in a very thin and even layer . Use a lint-free cloth or a suitable polishing pad for this.
Always work in the direction of the wood grain to achieve a uniform and high-quality result.
4. Exposure time and polishing
Leave the applied sealant on for at least 1 to 2 hours .
Then polish the surface with a clean, soft cloth or a fine polishing pad until the desired level of shine is achieved.
A second coat is usually not necessary. However, for heavily used areas, such as outdoor areas, another coat can be applied. Wait at least 4 days after the first application before doing so.
5. Drying and curing times
Surface dry: after approx. 4 days
First light use: after 7 to 8 days
Fully cured: after 10 to 14 days
During the curing period, the surface should be protected from moisture, dirt and strong mechanical stress.
