Acrylic One – Acrylic Resin for Creative & Professional Casting Applications
Acrylic One (A1) is a modern, eco-friendly acrylic resin system based on water – consisting of a mineral powder and an acrylic polymer liquid.
Compared to traditional resins, A1 is solvent-free, odorless, non-flammable and therefore especially user-friendly – perfect for creative, architectural, and decorative projects.Discover a new way of casting – you’ll fall in love!
Combine Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin with Acrylic One / A1 Acrylic Resin to create unique art pieces.Acrylic One is a two-component casting compound that is very easy to use and cures extremely hard within a short time.
The final product is opaque and naturally pigmented in cream-white, or pure white with Acrylic One Extra White.A1 Acrylic Resin can be poured, sprayed (with suitable equipment), applied with a spatula, brush, or roller, or laminated.
The casting material offers excellent mechanical properties.Acrylic One / A1 is non-toxic, solvent-free, and environmentally friendly.
It does not shrink during curing, and heat generation is minimal (max. 40°C / 104°F).
A1 Acrylic Resin is flame-retardant, highly UV-resistant, and moisture-resistant after sealing.
It can be easily pigmented, and the cured material can be painted or lacquered.
It is also easy to machine after curing (drilling, milling, sanding, polishing).Acrylic One – The Smart Alternative to Epoxy Resin. Try it now!
Curing & Post-Processing
Cast parts made from Acrylic One (A1) Acrylic Resin should ideally be cut or drilled after about one week, once the curing process is nearly complete.
Although the material is very hard after just one day, it is still sensitive to mechanical stress at this stage.
If you drill or saw too early, proceed with extreme caution to avoid damaging the material.
Customize the Look with Additives
A1 Acrylic Resin can be modified with various fillers and additives to achieve the desired surface finish:
- Pigments (water-soluble): For colored or translucent effects
- Sand, stone, or quartz: For a marble, granite, or terrazzo look
- Metal powders: For realistic metal casting effects – looks like bronze, copper, or brass, but is much lighter and more affordable
Reinforcement & Structure
For extra stability, A1 can be laminated with triaxial glass fibers.
Additionally, lightweight fillers enable new applications, such as large-scale or wall-mounted objects.
Key Features of Acrylic One (A1)
- Water-based 2-component system (powder + liquid)
- Cures at room temperature – no oven or UV required
- Non-toxic, VOC-free, solvent-free
- Pourable, spreadable, dimensionally stable, easy to sand
- Colorable with pigments such as metallic, neon, or interference effects
- Weather-resistant (for outdoor projects when sealed)
- Extremely high detail accuracy – ideal for molds and surface textures
Perfect for:
- Art sculptures & creative objects
- Decorative casting & design molds
- Architectural & interior models
- Furniture parts, wall panels & surfaces
- Combination with pigment powders for custom color effects
- Alternative to gypsum, concrete, epoxy, or polyester resin
- Creation of art, coasters, bowls, jewelry, plates, plant pots, ceramic-style objects, sculptures, furniture like side tables, or textured artworks
How to Use:
For the best results, Acrylic One / A1 should be carefully weighed and mixed:
- Use 2 parts powder and 1 part acrylic resin liquid
- Pour the liquid into the mixing container first
- Use a high-shear mixer or a drill with mixing paddle
- Slowly add the powder while mixing
- Mix until you get a smooth, lump-free consistency
- Continue mixing for another 30 seconds
- Process immediately
Mixing Tips:
For optimal mixing, use an A1 high-shear mixer or a drill paddle to minimize air bubbles.
If necessary, sieve the powder before mixing to prevent lumps.
The working time of A1 casting resin is about 20 minutes.
To adjust viscosity or curing time, various additives can be added.
The exact curing time depends on the size of the object, the thickness of the laminate, the room temperature, and humidity.
Since A1 is water-based, all residual moisture must evaporate for the final result.
When using molds, ensure that they are made of self-releasing materials. If not, use a release agent.
Storage:
- Protect from frost
- Store tightly sealed and dry

Reviews
I use this material to create pots for my candles. Super easy to work with! Endless color combinations with the liquid pigment, 20 minute setting in a silicone mold. I use the "Satin" seal. Couldn't be happier!
Einfach zu bearbeiten und in 30min ausformbar. Lässt sich gut mit den Pigmenten aus dem Shop einfärben.Bin begeistert
Tolles mattes Ergebnis, richtig einfach zu verarbeiten
