Sealer for acrylic resin
AcrylCast Sealer is a water-based coating to protect acrylic resin from weather influences such as UV radiation and moisture.
The AcrylCast Sealer is a so-called breathing coating.
The surface to be sealed must be free of wax, oil, dirt and dust. The product is applied with a brush, a paint roller, with a soft cloth or by spraying.
If the AcrylCast Sealer is applied by brush, we recommend adding 30% water.
After applying the AcrylCast Sealer the sealer must be rubbed in with a dry cloth while it is still wet.
In this way you apply a maximum of 3 coats of AcrylCast Sealer on the object.
These layers can be applied one after the other after a short drying time of a few minutes.
When applied with a soft cloth, 1 coat of AcrylCast Sealer creates a satin finish.
If several layers are applied, the result is more of a glossy effect. The consumption of AcrylCast Sealer when applied with a brush is between 8 and 10 m2 per kg.
When spraying on the AcrylCast Sealer, we recommend adding up to 50% water.
Re-polishing is due to the misting of the AcrylCast Sealer not mandatory.
The consumption when spraying on the A1 Sealer PLUS is between 10 and 12 m2 per kg.
Be careful not to apply too thick a layer of AcrylCast Sealer as this will seal the object. This also avoids the risk of turning white.
We recommend that you inspect the treated surface every year and re-treat with AcrylCast Sealer every 6 years as needed.
As a result, the object has an expected lifespan of 50 years.
You have the choice of AcrylCast Sealer Frosted, satin and gloss.
To achieve a very matt result, we recommend that you first apply a coat of A1 Sealer Gloss and then a coat of A1 Sealer Matt.
